The Move

Hello all. So, I currently live in Seattle WA and have some sailing experience. Nothing major however, Iíve sailed to the San Juan Islands and in the waters here in WA and also in between the Hawaiin islands. Any way I might be moving to VT for 2 years. The game plan would be to buy a boat and then sail it back home to Seattle. I figure 2 years would be enough time to save, plan and properly supply. Ill have 20k for the boat and then about 5k for supplies and then another 5k to take with me. Oh and a buddy with about equal experience will be joining.

I would like to take a year off for the trip. Any suggestions from experience? or places to gather information?

Nothing too challenging eh? Are you planning to return from VT to WA via the Northwest passage or Cape Horn?

Let's see, Lake Champlain to the St Lawrence then North or down the Hudson and South?

Just funnin' ya Bro.

But then there is Matt Rutherford who is doing both, nonstop and solo
