1959 Galaxy questions

I was give a 1959 Galaxy 32 to replace the boat I was living on because it sank on Christmas eve. The problem is the boat came with tons of gear and sails but there was no head stay at all that came with the boat. I have done some research and have found that the boat had a solid steal rod for a head stay.

I am hoping that some one who owns one will have specs on the head stay, and maybe some photos of the rigging, i really need to get this figured out so that i can get the mast off of the deck and start sailing her, not to mention the harbor master is charging me for an extra 15 feet because the mast is hanging over the bow, and i am not into having a sailboat that can not sail. Here is a link to some picture of her.

This was basically the same as the Paceship 32, you might want to take a look at The Paceship Website Homepage

There is no reason rod rigging can't be replaced by wire. You can find several "how to" posts on the web.

Good luck!
