But still a good one.
I read a similar one attributed to him;

A snooty woman said to him; "Sir Winston, you are drunk", to which he replied "Madam, you are correct, but you are ugly and in the morning I shall be sober."

AFAIAC, Churchill used the English language better than anyone, including Shakespeare.

In a biography of him it said he would slave over his speeches - a 10 or 15 minute speech in the Commons would take him 40 hours of work to prepare and polish to the perfection we know. Despite that, he could ad lib incredibly well, as attested to by all the quips like these he is credited with.

I, myself, personally intend to continue being outspoken and opinionated, intolerant of all fanatics, fools and ignoramuses, deeply suspicious of all those who have "found the answer" and on my bad days, downright rude.

"don't drive where the birds are standing"

Capt. Terry told me this after I got my 50t masters in regards to running the dive boat around the keys. Applies to sailing too.

those who can, do.
Those who can't, teach.
Those who can't teach, teach driver's ed.

Greenhorns are issued a full bucket of luck and an empty cup of experience. Old salts are those who filled the cup before the bucket ran dry.

I don't know where Urick got it from but I heard this from him...
