Nice one DW. Sorry not to see it earlier but we've been wafting about the NSW coast.

I remember in one of your vids you came across a young bloke in a Duck Punt and you were pretty impressed by the thing.

Enjoy.

Cheers

they are amazing little boats

designed for wildfowlers

they are very relaxing to sail.

I took it up on the upper Thames yesterday - when I pulled it off the river it had a thinn film of ice on the bottom - no idea how that works

if anyone want to know more about them there are some great litle film on youtube

Duck Punt Racing - YouTube

Punting on my Birthday - YouTube

if you can scrounge an optimist rig then it is well worth making one

you really can slam one together in a few days in the garage

a perfect old man's boat

http://www.mersearegatta.org.uk/Cobmarsh_files/037.jpg

lots more double scull racers here

it is a bloody brilliant little boat

some-one should start making them out of tupperware

a scull, a canoe and a bloody good sailing vessel

no good for rough water though

I am having a real ball in the little thing
