Olson 25 -- Trailer for shipping and otherwise

I apologize if this would fit better in the review and purchase forum. I put it here because it isn't about a boat.

I need to move a boat from San Diego to SF and can find new trailers for about $5K and little else. I have tried area boat yards, craigslist, sailboatlistings, etc. I am also having little luck getting a price for professional delivery. I have tried the local O25 fleet.

I would NEED to have the boat transported and I would LIKE to have a trailer of my own. Any other ideas?

I built a trailer for my 27 for $1500. Dual 3500 lb axles wi torsion box suspension and electric brakes. 5 inch c channel steel etc... A friend had the welding equipment and a shop so zero labour cost. The cradle was built by Marine Cradle Shop so I just welded that to the frame. I mention this to give you ideas of alternatives. can be seen at web site in my siognature below and does not look like a bad trailer

You should investigate renting a flatbed trailer of some sort.
