Kinda defeats the purpose of having stickies in the first place.

How about an 'Archives' forum? Some boards I've been on have an archives section where they move all the older, longer, but good threads. It could be a way to keep all that great info together.

Minnewaska will become famous soon enough
In this forum, I would not keep the Blogs are Down sticky forever. Eventually, it irrelevant. However, the others have more perpetual value. Anyone who hasn't read the Courtney thread is missing a huge lesson in, or at least a display of tremendous humanity. Why anyone would suggest we get rid of it is beyond my comprehension. Others, such as recommended reading or bedding hardware in the G&M forum also have perpetual value, IMO.

I also suggest the Moderation Rules sticky be updated to include all capital letters. Some just can't hear them. For that one, I'm not at all surprised that someone, someone in particular, would want deleted.

I vote, opposed.

In the harsh marine environment, something is always in need of repair. Margaritas fix everything.

I would have to vote opposed as well. The reason they are sticky is that there is valuable information in them. Did the information all of a sudden stop being good? Keep'em.

Chris does have a point and occasionally we do go in and unstick threads but certain 'stickies' are there for the long haul and should not be let loose.

I'd think that if at any time a specific sticky looks outdated then bring it too our attention.

I must say I do like the archive idea.

If you go that route, could the archive be prominently displayed? Easy to access? I don't think enough people read the historical posts as it is let alone if they're buried somewhere.
