O.K. Wish granted (for both of us).

I was just thinking the same thing.

My good news: I'm surprised to see that I'm getting a fat tax refund instead of owing, so I'm buying a new mainsail, ASAP.

Is anyone else worried about the 'death comes in 3's' part? All I know is that when I look outside my window to see practically only the 4th snow we've gotten this winter....I think I'll stay safely locked in my room tonight. And although I was originally depressed that my plans out with friends tonight were cancelled, maybe it's actually a good thing.

We woke up on a boat in sunny Florida this morning. Checked the weather forecast "back home" and it was for snow and N gusts to 45 (note to self: it is always good to avoid having the boat in situations where the wind speed is higher than the temperature).

Shameless self-promotion - my blog for the Annapolis Capital newspaper is moving to a new location:

And we just got back.. It kicked up into the twenties, which was a bit much for a Capri 18.. But he handled the boat well.

One less thing to worry about.

.... you're not living it in Dunnville.

Ouch, isn't Dunnville like the armpit of southern Ontario? Kinda like, uh, nowhere

Mechanic called. Our Yanmar rebuild is complete and we get to put her back in next week. The mechanic gets to pay his mortgage this month, and we get to start planning again.

Exactly my point.
ONE liquor store, and they don't stock Pusser's. Or Sailor Jerry. Or Cruzan 9. Or Gosling's. They do however, have three different varieties of Bacardi, and five flavours of Malibu.
Don't ask me how I know.

Here are a few;
  • After being out of work for 2˝ years, I was hired - at my old salary & bonus - back in July. While I haven't moved forward in over a decade, at least I'm able to pay my bills.
  • Our youngest, who wants to be a College Professor, completed his undergrad in June.
  • My wife, not knowing what to do without having to make a college payment, just bought a house in Florida in June.
  • Our youngest, was just accepted to Wake Forest University - on a FULL Academic Scholarship (takes after 'ma).
  • Our oldest just got a promotion.

Cycle of life - you can't stop it. You must try to use the time you have to figure out what is important to you; and, by the grace of God, try to do it.
