Sailing in San Diego

I am thinking of coming down to San Diego on the 28 of March to the 4th of April . I am looking for any very kind soles down there that would like to help warm up a cold Alaskan and take him sailing while I am there. Wife might come but doubtful. Oh when I get back will be going here to cool down from the hot sun. Arctic Man Ski and Sno-Go Classic Summit, AK Well if anyone wants to talk contact me at geehaw@acasalaska.net

We visited there in January. For a great ride take a trip on the Americas Cup boat Stars and Styripes....it will be a trip you will never forget I promise you. They also take a myriad a pictures and post them free on line for you to have to rememeber it by.

If you don't find a taker try Seaforth Boat Rentals. They have several models of sailboats for rent. I have rented the Capri 16.5, 18 and 22. The Capri 18 is the easiest one to singlehand. The 22 also setup for singlehanding. Th controls of the 16.5 are really setup for doublehanding.

They have three locations. The best one is the Coronado location. Downtown has a limited selection of boats and Mission Bay requires you to tack out through a narrow channel (typically into the wind).
