Recommendations for Surveyor in Long Island NY?

Been looking at boats and found one to place an offer on ( '03, 40 something, f glass cruiser) In Long Island N Y.
Any recommendations (or stay away froms) for a Marine Surveyor. Needles to say I am looking for an extremely competent surveyor to go to bat for me - not the broker. Thanks very much in advance.
