gpx track

How do I display a gpx track saved off my garmin on a pc verson of a chart.

I can display it on the garmin software but it only has a land outline no chart.
I can display it on google earth but then there are no bouy's displayed.
I have navionics on an ipad but see no way to import a gpx track
I installed the plugin for garmin to use geogarage and that lets me export a tack from gogarage to garmin but not the reverse which is what I want to do.

Any ideas?

you need to run the gpx file through a conversion to something the pc version will recognize, such as a kml.
Search GPX converters, there are a number of sites that have them online.

Thank you all.
I downloaded opencpn and was able to import a track directly in gpx format.
