New boat!

Well new to me anyway. Got a '71 cat 22 in trade for $900 worth of work. Super stoked and so is the fam. Been sailing a dinghy for the last few months and glad to have a boat I can take my 5 y.o. on. Have some work to do to make it safe before I get it in the water, but we'll be out there soon. Look out forums, I'm gonna have a ton of questions 'bought this one. Thanks to all of you in advance for your help!

Cute kid. My 3yo girl calls my boat "Daddy's stinky boat" because when she saw it for the first tiime, I had yet to redo all the cushions and they stunk like must and diesel.

Congrats!

Is that the compression post in the bottom pic? If so, take a good look at it. Seems like water damage on the bottom from here.

Clean her up and have a great time!!!

Jeanneau 54DS

In the harsh marine environment, something is always in need of repair. Margaritas fix everything.

Congratulations on your new boat. I had the British version and it taught me a lot.

May the boat, and the kid, be the "best toys you ever had".
