We all know that weather forecasts are not perfectly reliable. Just remember that when using any service, although, the NOAA and the commericlal sefvices that use its data are the best.

In my experience, however, wave predictions (both height and period) are 50/50 at best. Use your noodle. Long sustained high winds from offshore will create big waves. Don't believe the forecast if it says otherwise. BTDT.

Just remember, it does not count as windy til you put a little seaweed on your spreaders.
