Reading your notes about sailing under main alone made me wonder why you didn't swap to a small jib and reef the main before you left the dock. My IOR boat would sail under main alone but it wasn't very effective - they really like some jib up.

Looked like a great day nevertheless - 25 knots is perfect sailing AFAIAC. If you have a narrow shouldered, heavy chute you can experience a whole new form of living in wind like that.

P.S. I bet you understand why people have dodgers now don't you.

Looked like fun...great video. Swells looked 8-10. 20 ft swells are pretty huge. Good luck sailing her. Sailboats were made to sail in good winds.
