Hudson river marina

Does anyone have any suggestions of a decent marina on the Hudson river around the Kingston area for the summer? And by decent I mean fair and honest.

Check out the Rondout Yacht Basin.

We used to be at Hideaways. John the former owner was as honest as they come however he recently passed away and I don't have any experience with the new owners. Still may be worth a look.

Anyone have any experience with Shadows in Poughkeepsie? Their rate is $45 a ft!

Thanks for the responses so far!

Based on limited experience I'll second Rondout. My buddy and I are moving his boat from Champlain to the Chesapeake. Rondout is as far as we got it before Winter set in. I've been up a couple of times now. They seem like very pleasant folks and are service oriented.

I happen to know Shadows, but have no idea if that rate is high or low for the area. I've had business nearby, but have only been there for lunch. The restaurant and catering facility there are going to be mobbed all summer, with weddings, etc. I assume you would hear them. The train runs nearby and there is no where to walk to. Nice views though.

Jeanneau 54DS

In the harsh marine environment, something is always in need of repair. Margaritas fix everything.
