smart phone apps for sailing/boating

• Hello I'm bored at work on 3rd shift. figured I'd stop by for some entertainment and advice. This forum hasn't let me down yet.

• I have a iPhone with a few nautical apps. And since my boat (1981 Sonic 23) is about to splash I was just wondering what everyone else who has a smart phone is using while sailing around. I would love to discover something new (preferably free) and maybe even help someone discover something new...

• Here is a list of what I currently have:
- Navionics USA&Canada
- Navigation Rules
- Seamanship
- Knot Guide
- GoneBoating
- Signal Flags Info
- *Sailnet!!!

I use motion x gps. It's great for navigating, tracking sails, even charts. iPhone version is cool. iPad version is amazing.

In the harsh marine environment, something is always in need of repair. Margaritas fix everything.

Sorry that's iSailGPS - I think it was about $7.99 but cheaper than buying charts and GPS at WM!!!

Ship Finder. Uses the AIS system. ID's traffic and tells you their course and speed. Priceless in fog.

I've blogged a lot about apps for sailing. Here's a few posts that highlight some of my favorite sailing/boating apps:

I have used the Navionics APP for the past 3 years, all over the east caost. It keeps getting better and better. How do you beat $9.99 for the whole US.
