New to Los Angeles, need a place to launch from

I just purchased a small 17''er that I''m itching to bring out soon. Does anyone know of a small boat landing/marina in the Los Angeles area? Thank you.

If you are in south LA I would suggest Cabrillo Beach, good ramp at North end of LA/Long Beach Harbor, you can go all the way to Alamitos inside the breakwater and you are close to exit if you want to go out of Breakwater toward Point Fermin & Palos Verdes. Now for drawbacks, it''s near main channel (MUST CROSS TO EXIT BREAKWATER) and when I was young we sailed Lidos there & called it Hurricane Gulch due to strong afternoon winds in the summer.
