Moored

I put WS on her mooring today. Before you howl in envy while still painting, waxing, etc., I'm still painting and cleaning, and will haul for ten days this summer to do the hull. But the club docks are getting crowded, winter dockage is almost up, and conditions were right today.
See you on the water.

Re: Moored

I am not sure I understand. People remove their boats from the water in the winter and do not use them?

Been very busy lately but Monday is rigging and sail bending day. Next weekend will be our first weekend out for 2012.

Re: Moored

Congrats WS. It's great to see the marinas filling up early this season. Enjoy.

However, we're up the coast from you and we set a personal best this year. Bottom painted during that nice stretch in March and splashed on Mar 30.

Targeted Apr to fully commission and be ready by May 1. Just a touch more cleaning, including the dink and we're fully ready for the season.

Jeanneau 54DS

In the harsh marine environment, something is always in need of repair. Margaritas fix everything.

Re: Moored

Glad I'm not alone. But I don't pull my boat out, I do sail in the winter. I just dock her in winter and moor her in summer. So, while I sailed every month this winter, I really think the season starts from the mooring ball.

Re: Moored

I dont either...our creek stays reasonably clear most years and this year well it was pretty silly I bothered to winterize! Today however it is blowing like hell with some impressive gusts definitely a different climate than last week!
