Dear Santa...

Dear Santa,

For Christmas I would like for everyone to lay off the discussion about guns unless they want to carry it to a more appropriate site...and being this is a sailing BB and it is Christmas time, maybe we could talk about celebrating the holidays on board and other appropriate topics.

The gun topic looks like it has been trampled to death by a herd of reindeer!

Merry Christmas all!

Dear Santa...

I think you''ve already been granted your wish, because the discussion wasn''t around guns. It was about freedom, something that we all relate to.The fact that as a sailor, I can load my 26 footer up on her trailer, and haul her to Charleston or San Francisco, without asking anyone, is a freedom I enjoy, along with many others. That freedom was paid for by the seemingly endless rows of white crosses I''ve seen at Arlington National Cemetary, and other veterans graves across the country. When someone says "there is no such thing as freedom," I have to stand up and beg to differ.I do so out of respect to all servicemen, both past and present that have paid a price to insure the freedom that I love!

Merry Christmas!

Dear Santa...

freedoms are good for some people, but I for one cant understand the benefits of an unstayed rig, nor can I afford that type of boat, so for now I''ll stick to just being free and sailing around for Christmas. ah... winter in southern California. It was under 70 degrees at 6 this morning.
