Dufour Arpege Hull Number

Hi all,

I'm wondering if anyone can tell me where I might find the Hull number on my 1969 Dufour Arpege?

The boat is new to me and all the registration paperwork I got with it from the previous owner says 'UNKNOWN' in the space for hull number. I find that a bit odd since I know he bought the boat new in 1970, but atleast recently he hasn't known the Hull number either.

Can anyone give me suggestions about where to look for it?

Should be upper right on transom, BUT might be on side of hull near aft quarter, OR if the boat has been painted might have been filled (saw a Tartan 10 last with it filled in during painting but you could catch it on an angle).

Nope. That's for a hull id number, which wa snt implemented until 1972.

Dufour is still in business, try contacting them.
