Question Annapolis Boat Show - April 27-29

Anyone going today, it is the first year for the Spring boat show. The vendor list seems to be pretty sparse, mostly clothing. If your in the market for a boat maybe it would be more worth while. I was planning on going but I don't know if its worth the trip? UMM

Cheers,
Shawn & the crew of S/V Windgeist

Re: Annapolis Boat Show - April 27-29

I was thinking about going, but mostly for the flea market (today/tomorrow.)

The Admiral's suggesting I reconsider, and focus on things around the house....

Re: Annapolis Boat Show - April 27-29

I thought about going, but it looks like mostly brokerage boats on display, and as mentioned clothing. However there are some associated open houses going on, that might be worth while.... Welcome to the Annapolis Spring Sails Event! | Spring Sails Event
Maybe Sunday....

There will be some new boats there but I think since the market is "Soft" and the brokers are trying to drum up business any way they can. There is also the Cruisers University going on at the same time. Seminars look great but the price seems a little steep to me. I thought about going but changed my mind.

I went Friday. Mostly preowned boats and limited # of vendors. I was done in 3 hours. The flea market maybe interesting.

Figured I go and check out the flea market and any vendors. If it's a bust there's always painkillers.

The Admiral and I went today. the flee market was disappointing. We liked looking at sime of the brokerage boats. Really liked lunch at Pussers. Some of the vendors were interesting, there was an outboard that runs on propane cylinders. Great for the dingy and no gas storage.

Annapolis Boat Show - April 27-29

Went yesterday. Agree with the above comments. It was fun looking at some of the larger brokerage cruisers, vendors thin with a lot of unrelated stuff, and the flea market a waste of time. It was nice with no crowds and of course the painkillers were good. The propane powered outboard was very interesting!

Re: Annapolis Boat Show - April 27-29

Some interesting brokerage boats and a chance to look at the Southerly without the fall crowds.

Only two or three vendors selling boat related stuff in the flea market.

Always a good lunch at the Fleet Reserve. The Painkillers were good, we don't bother with the mediocre overpriced food at Pusser's anymore.

I hope this takes off as a spring event and gets bigger. Walking the docks and browsing the vendors is a nice diversion from spring boat projects.
