I second this. The first thing I thought of after reading that article and looking at those food pictures was "Damn, I'm hungry!"

I also have been following your blog. What I like is you are traveling in style. Makes the old adage of "Sailing: the most expensive way to travel third class" not necessarily true.

Re: Sequitur Finally Out of Brazil

Michael,

I saw over on SA that Sequitur is up for sale in Florida.

I hope everything is okay with you and Edi - and that you're just off on another adventure.

You sure made Hunter proud - and all of us envious - with your incredible voyage.

Great sailing.

Re: Sequitur Finally Out of Brazil

This is sad, I loved their blog. I can,t see selling a boat because of a bad windlass, or maybe Brazil ticked em off.

Hope to hear from them.

Re: Sequitur Finally Out of Brazil

Hmmm...this is curious.
This is the last line in their latest blog of June 7th "Through the Bahamas" after making St. Augustine Florida.
Quote:
We had bucked adverse winds, currents and bureaucracies. We were tired.
And this is one of their latest replies of June 9th to a comment on the blog.
Quote:
Our immediate plans are to complete repairs and refit here in St Augustine by end June so we can be north of 31ļ North by 01 July for insurance purposes. Brunswick Landing Marina have confirmed they can accommodate us, and that is most likely where Sequitur will spend the hurricane season, while we go back to Vancouver.
The boat's for sale in St. Augustine...maybe they're moving up to a different vessel.
I think we'll be hearing a report from Michael soon.

Re: Sequitur Finally Out of Brazil

I want to think it is opportunistic and they are taking a crack at a sale, while she is up on the hard for as much as 6 months, to see if they can get into a different hull. However, commissioning a new boat to complete the journey would take a long time, plus shakedown cruises. This just isn't feeling good.
