The Windward Islands is on my to do list. Was thinking about going this year but I think Im going to put it on next years list of places to go. After that, who knows?

There are still plenty of very lonely places in Oceania provided you are prepared to put up with the lack of facilities. Reality is most folk like the comforts of civilisation.

For me though, Tasmania sits at the top of my list. Overseas from here the PNW and Scotland would be nice and if I had the cojones I'd do a circle of the Pacific.

I've visited around 20 nations with the US Navy, so my sailing dreams are modest and attainable.

For me, it's more about having the time, than the money or the right boat. I'd start off by seriously exploring the Chesapeake, then up to Maine, and then eventually, the Caribbean. I suppose getting around Florida, into the Gulf of Mexico would be good too.

A lot of coastal sailing, with the option to do the ICW, my current boat should be just fine.

I couldn't agree more, but from the other side of the continent. Having the time to explore right here at home in AK would fill many years. I guess the dream would be to spend summer here, and then be able to explore the Caribbean for some of the winter. Time is the hardest thing to buy sometimes.

Here my wet dream:
1. Buy an old stinky old boat and call myself a Captain. Never sail more than 5 kn of wind and no farther than 10 nm.
2. Be the Chesapeake Lion - think Scar in Lion King.
3. Be good a Lap Dog on Sailnet

This is a tall order for me to fill. It is an impossible dream.
