Re: Daddy-O's Home!

blt, the dog is cute, but looking at that fabric, is your boat sporting the "Magnum PI" limited edition upholstery?

I like it!

Re: Daddy-O's Home!

No, it is not MPI, did not watch that show much. But there is a fun story behind them new rags.......Wife wanted flowers, I said "NO F'ING WAY" THen again, the flowery stuff she was choosing would look fabulous in the living room, but at $150 per yd for the stuff she liked.....needed some 40 yds to do the new cushions........I found this at about 25-30, had flowers she liked, was not really intricate, multi level fuzzy stuff, ie I could put my wet foulies on it.......still spent more than I hoped......but that is life, and if one has a female spouse, one knows, if momma ain't happy, NO ONE is happy!

This is why some of us are on spouse number dos.

At the risk of acknowledging my feminine side, there is a local fabric store that is one of the few places I like to shop. They always have a great selection of Sunbrella remnants. A couple years back i found three yards of this:

Now I gotta decide, does SWMBO make shirts out of it? pillows? curtains?

Re: Daddy-O's Home!

I think I have seen that before. thought about curtains......decided it was too light. So went with a blue/white striped like some pillows SWMBO "dos" chose along with interior cushions......Did a double layer with some batting in between, keeps it dark enough at night, enough light in in the daylight.........

so lets not disCUSS SWMBO "uno" that one was a bit brutal in more ways than one........ Along with did not want to have anything to do with boats!.........

Well, I guarantee you my dog would eat yours up and poop it out. However, since her waking hours consist of about 5 minutes a day (post-eating), I must concede the cute dog won. But, put a dog bone or a food bowl around that cute dog, and youu can kiss her goodbye (on waking hours, only).

Re: Daddy-O's Home!

This seemed like as good a thread as any to announce:

UK...prepare to be invaded by Clan Smack.

The boys and I are headed to London on Sunday for a week of sun and fun, then up to Edinburgh for some camel riding! Oh yeah! Should be a fun trip.

Anyone have a boat we could steal for a quick run out of Portsmouth? Trust us.

Welcome back. Wanna hear all about the unravelling asap.

And Smack Clan in London, sounds like a Vacation Movie with Chevy as Smack. Can you imagine the hijinks.
