Pacific Seacraft 60' custom ketch

Work proceeds on my 60' ketch to be built at PSC. Had the client, Steve Brodie from PSC and the client's rep, Tim O'connell from Vancouver stay at the beach shack for three days so we could spend some intense time going over the details of the boat. We did have some fun.

Beautiful renderings... interesting what you can do with 60 feet... two full sized cockpits, for example. Is the center cockpit 'lounging only' or are there any controls to be there at all?

The spade rudder is a bit of a surprise...

Looks very nice though!

Also, just to keep us riffraff in our place; is there a $ estimate/target?

Re: Pacific Seacraft 60' custom ketch

Gee whizz, thanks you guys. I do aim to please.

The beautiful renderings are the work of Jody Cullbert, aka Rasputin on CA. His work has taken the 3D work beyond the conceptual work done by my other CA pal Rick aka Sons on CA. Jody's work will become the working tool used to deveope the patterns we will need for CNC work.

The center cockpt is mainly for lounging but it is flanked with winches so some sail controls can be lead there where the crew will work in the security of the center cockpit.
We played around initially with aft cockpit layouts and center cockpit layouts and in the end we decided that we could actually have both. It's been quite a challenge and my patient and generous client likes to see all options explored in depth. Mock ups have been built at PSC to make certain that my crazy ideas actually function as intended. I have more work into this design than any other design I have done. I give a lot of credit to Steve, Thumper and the rest of the PSC crew for fabulous work on accurate mock ups.

If you are interested in the price I think you should call PSC and ask them directly. We would sure like to see more of this design built.

Our team is:
ND, the owner, my client, aka Nessun Dorma on CA
Steve Brodie of PSC, the builder
Ivan Erdevicki, my patient engineer in Monte Negro
Tim O'Connell, the owner's rep and another pal of mine from CA
Jody Culbert, aka Rasputin on CA, working 3D renderings and development
Rick Beddoe, aka Sonadora, aka Sons from CA, responsible for conceptual 3D renderings
And bringing up the rear, me
rugosa likes this.
