holding tank on E32

I own a 1975 Endeavour 32 which was not required to have a holding tank. I need now to install one. Where? I understand marine plumbing but port side head and starboard holding tank? Any ideas? thanx

I know what you are talking about. I have a 30'' Morgan, and I''m instaling a holding tank. The inlet to the tank is 6" higher than the outlet on the head. I think that the outlet has to be higher than the tank. How do I do that without back flow. The tank is starboard and the head is port.

On my ''79 E32 the holding tank is placed in a compartment under the aft port side of the V berth. This is a short straight run for the plumbing. Hose for pumpout runs back into head, then straight up to a fitting. I also put a T fitting on the pumpout hose, one branch up to fitting, the other through a diaphram pump to the old through hull for manual pumpout.

is your holding tank under the vee berth or just foward of the head? ym water tank is under the vee berth but there is an area with drawers which could be converted. is your holding tank a factory install? thanx

My tank is in that area with drawers that you describe. A hole was cut in the top (later covered with a hatch) to insert the tank and plumbing. You might have to install a horizontal floor to hold the tank. The tank is plastic, holds 13 gallons, has an inlet, outlet, vent hole and inspection port. I didnt put it in but it looks like a generic off the shelf type
