Eastern Bahamas Anchorages

Helping to plan the delivery of a Moody 41C from St Thomas to Hilton Head mid-June. Planning a single leg with course just west of the rhumb line.

We'll be staying east of the islands and I'd appreciate any suggestions on good 'bail-out' options for marinas and/or anchorages in the eastern Bahamas just in case mechanical, health or weather issues force an early landfall.

Thanks

Re: Eastern Bahamas Anchorages

Pick up the Explorer Chartbooks. They have good descriptions of all the cuts, if you have to duck in and places to throw the hook and marinas. Don't think I'd want to try to get through the cuts without something like these, which are considered the best.
