Hey Dylan,
Did the Slug make the QEII parade? Or would that have necessitated a right turn? Would have been great for the Slug to have received a "royal wave".

There really is no end to the ways rich a$$holes find to pi$$ away money is there? I guess someone thought those up while they were having a wine enema.

Geez, where have you guys been? Underwater lighting on larger yachts and sportfishermen has been pretty commonplace for at least a decade...

Any sportfishing tournament nowadays, at night the dockside gathering could probably be one of those things visible from outer space... (grin) They actually make some sense for those guys, many of whom fish at night, in attracting bait fish, etc...

The charter yachts in the Bahamas love them, gives their guests a pretty cool look underwater at night... Not really sure what the big deal is, is underwater lighting really all that much more excessive than much of the other obscene extravagance aboard such yachts? (grin)

There was a Maestro 40 shown at the Annapolis Sailboat show a few years ago that featured underwater lighting, but it doesn't really seem to have caught on... Latest trend I'm seeing, much in evidence at the docks prior to the start of the Caribbean 1500 last fall, is blue LED mast lighting illuminating the rig...

Seems a bit pretentious on anything much less than a 130' Perini Navi, but what the hell do I know? (grin)

Re: Mobo lights - chavtastic

In many locations of the U.S. underwater, and above-water lighting to attract fish is illegal, and the fine is pretty stiff if caught. Looks neat, but I have better ways to pi$$ away my hard-earned cash. For starters, Margarettas just came to mind.

Cheers,

Gary
