Missing my Sailboat! Sell me yours! ;)

I had to sell my boat almost 2 years ago when I moved.
I am tired of the rat race and just want to buy another one and travel. I have a job where I can go just about anywhere in this country and work (I am a low-voltage and IT contractor.) Companies I work for have customers like McDonalds, Walgreens, Wal-mart, and many other national customers. This allows me to make a good living just about anywhere.
My problem is with the high cost of rent and utilities it makes it harder to save the cash. I have about $5k currently..
If anyone out there is willing to take a down payment and I could live on the boat, I could afford about $1500 a month, which is what I spend on rent...
I would be willing to keep it wherever the owner wants until it is paid for..
Looking for at least a 30' that has a decent set up. I want to do lots of coastal cruising, the keys, the Caribbean, etc...
I can live anywhere and will move temporarily until I pay for the boat... then its time to sail all over!

I know many people wont do this, but I figured I would throw it out there..

Here is a list of boats that may fit your needs at prices that can't be beat with a stick.
Abandoned boat / trailer sale

I have no connection to the seller. The only thing I can gain is a like from the OP.

Nice! A Grampion 31' If I had money I would love to restore one of those. Or a Bayfield.

I am in New Orleans, but I can move just about anywhere... prefer a coastal city, but I am not too picky... I am very fond of Florida...But MS, AL, LA, TX, GA, SC, or just about anywhere on the east or gulf..

Bill.

You might be interested in my boat. It is a Pearson 323, 1979 that was repowered professionally in 2009. It has a lot of nice features including skeg hung rudder, fully encapsulated keel and keel stepped mast. The mast step is new (2010) as is the water heater. It has a below deck autopilot.

The boat is in New Orleans.

Full details and photos can be found here:

Sail Brokerage Listings
(Murray Yacht sales:: sailboat listings::see the Pearson 323)

I sent your note to my broker and he is supposed to contact you.

Fair winds,
Dan Haun
