Re: maine to bahamas and back

well no pics yet iam working on it!to start the story. i left from portland maine on10-31 with my sister as cook, with contray winds we fetched province town mass when the wind shifted to easterly with a tropical desturbance to the east, huge waves pushed us along to ptown where sis went back to portland and i picked up a crew called the marine, boat owner but no offshore experience.wind s still contrary we went the cape cod canal route and waited for a southerly, finnally managed to get out south of block island ,around long island and into sandy hook where another gale come by and we hunkered down.after due waiting we hopped a noreasterly down the jersey shore and into harbor of refuge in deleware.it was a rough ride the waves again were huge and the marine went home...for the rest of the journey i was alone with my cat tiger.we did take on a couple of guests in marsh harbor for short island hops, all for now ,

Re: maine to bahamas and back

so before i move on some words about crew,my crew the marine, ate my food and drank my booze but did not stand a good watch,on one watch he drank 10 beers and passed out at the wheel....another time he refused to get up so i was left to triple watch,,,the reason i got a 32 ft boat was the single handed option ,not to be tied to a crew,,,,as i slid back onto the deleware without my crew[dropped him off at lewes del]MAGIC seemed fast and light,i had just dropped a huge burden,my crew....next hatterras
