If a dirty bottom slows you down what do you think it does to your boat

That's the pits....

Whatever you do, don't bend that thumb or all the surgeon's work will come undone.

Wow, Tom -- I'm really sorry to hear of your misfortune. That is a tough break. For you, I'm hoping for speedy healing so you can get back to speedy heeling!

Re: My seaon is screwed GRUESOME IMAGE

Its just a flesh wound.

Sorry to see this happen.

I fell at work and on the way down grabbed a bookcase. The sharp edge of the shelf cut half way through the tendon on my little finger. While the surgeon was stitching it back together I asked him if I would be able to play the piano afterwards. He stopped, looked at me and asked if I could play before the accident.

Re: My seaon is screwed GRUESOME IMAGE

Heal fast Tom. The tendons on top of the hand tend to heal well, unlike the tendons on the other side. In that sense I guess you're lucky.

Re: My seaon is screwed GRUESOME IMAGE

Fortunately, I didn't get the tendon when I cut my thumb. Being in the bayous of Louisiana though, with nary a doctor for miles, it came down to duct tape, neosporine, gauze pad and the broken off handle of a plastic fork. No stitches, no scar. Just keep it immobile and it should heal up fine.
