Hope this is similar to those other helpful support organizations, you know, AA, GA, it's going to be ok, really, we can help
Hello, our names are John & Anny, and we simultaneously bumped our heads (hard apparently) when we woke up yesterday, and by the end of the day we were owners of a 1980 ericson 38'. I had it hauled and surveyed yesterday, and it seems it doesn't need too much work, just; blister repairs and new paint on the bottom; new standing rigging (and maybe running rigging); some sail repairs; fuel level indicator that doesn't have cooked wires; the head to be connected to the holding tank; a bilge pump that actually sucks
; a working stove; an emergency tiller; leaky hatch cover repairs; new non-skid, and elbow grease to shine up the deck.
Any useful comments regarding addressing our initial short list are certainly welcome.
I think I'll work on the head first, as we'll be needing it quite a bit while working to fix everything else.
