I have the Kindle version of this book too....I sure wish they'd do a version of the Annapolis Book.

I also have the Kindle version of Boatowner's Illustrated Electrical Handbook, The Blue Book of Sailing and a bunch of other sailing "free" books on knots, weather, marlinspike seamanship, classics, all my manuals, Chart 1, CG Navigation....quite a collection.

I'm VERY happy with my Kindle...I have almost 500 books on it now!

Re: Good Learning to Sail Books?

Joe, I love the Kindle as well. There are a ton of great sailing-related books available for it and the prices are great. I have several knot books on my kindle as well, and the kindle is awesome for bookmarking favorite knots like sinnets that I don't do often enough to remember how to start.

Do you have some recommendations for charts and nav books you mentioned?

Re: Good Learning to Sail Books?

Since I'm on an inland lake, I have no need for charts at this time....but I did download the free PDF's for NOAA Chart 1, USCG Navigation Rules, Texas Water Safety Act....and mailed them to my Kindle email so they'd convert and load to the Kindle....in fact, I've done this with all my manuals for the boat...owners, parts, radio, motor, etc....although, I'm not real impressed with the presentation of PDFs....they're usable in a pinch when you need to look something up or reference it....but an actual converted Kindle book is much, MUCH better.

I also have a bunch of "nautical" classics....Seven Seas Tales, Captain Cook's stuff, Treasure Island...and many, many more....all FREE....
