AC in Newport

I have only been through Newport a couple of times, but might go down this week to watch some AC World Series races. Would someone familiar with the venue give me some suggestions on good places to watch the races from.

Re: AC in Newport

I'm going to try to find an empty patch of grass at Fort Adams. If it's good weather, I expect it will be pretty crowded. Parking may be a challenge.

Re: AC in Newport

Fort Adams was on my list as well. Not looking forward to parking. Might just show up REALLY early. My aunt lives in Newport so perhaps, if the distance is reasonable, parking at her place will work out. I'm just planning on attending Sunday for the finals, but I would expect the heaviest crowds that day. Really wish I had a boat right now...

Re: AC in Newport

If you go to the AC website for the Newport event, you can purchase parking for $20. Also it looks like Ft Adams has a $10 per person entrance fee, which isn't too bad.
