My First Circumferencing

Yeah, I spelled that right.. I didn't go round the world, I went around my first Island (Basswood) in the Apostle Island National Park system...

Also on my list of "firsts"... First wing N wing down wind several miles from Washburn to Bayfield...

First Sail in the rain...

And first VHF radio contact...Thanks Jackdaw...at least now I know my radio works, just gotta work on my radio "lingo" and protocol...(Does that mean I get to talk like a sailor...?)

Also saw my first Lake Superior "Fog" roll in....fortunately from the safety of the Marina Dock...

Oh, and almost forgot...Made my first "deposit" in the 15 year old Jabsco I rebuilt, and sucked 'er down good... I was so proud...

Congrats may yee voyage forth unto greater unknown circumferences through fogs on fair ( and gentle) swells ahem.
Watch out for any really wide white birds making deafening noises or dark islands with shifting positions and may you stay....forever on the windy bream. (!?)

Congrats on your circumcision, Squidd. ...and so glad you weren't compelled to include a pic of your Jabsco deposit.

Re: My First Circumferencing

Congrats on your accomplishments, Squidd.

I circumnavigated in the Navy. Under the ice at the North Pole. We cut through each line of longitude in about 45 minutes. Still counts!

Re: My First Circumferencing

Excellent. Haven't tried that on my boat yet. Hope to get out this weekend.

Love the pics, especially the little doggie raincoat.
