Cruising Europe

I have this picture in my mind: Four responsible sailing couples get together. The men sail the boat to the Med. (I say this as my wife does not want to cross, however maybe others' would). Two couples use the boat for three months and two stay home then swap. After we've all seen enough of Europe sail home (or sell the boat). The idea is to have crew to get the job done & share expenses. We own a boat ('82 Endeavour 37 A-plan tall rig with bow sprit) that would work so there would be no capital cost if we used it.
Any interest or ideas??

Your objective: cruise the Med with another couple for 3 months? If so, consider chartering a boat instead. Will save you the expense of prepping yours for trans-Atlantic and the post crossing re-fit. Will also spare you the efforts to avoid the VAT. Would imagine you could get a discounted charter rate for a longer term charter.
