miami boat show

don''t know anything about this strictly sail show and we were wondering if anyone has been to these miami shows previously. and is this a good place to find the right cruiser/liveaboard, new or previously loved?

We go to the Miami show almost religiously every year. It is an excellent place to get information on cruising boats, although the boats in the show are all new production. Some brokers are there and you can talk to them about used boats as well. For my money, Miami and Annapolis are the best shows in the country. Let me know if you want any other information.

Went to Miami Strictly Sail last weekend. My first time there. I was very disappointed. The power boat side of the show was magnificent; over 3000 boats and a multitude of vendors. However the sailboat side was about 1/4 of Annapolis and limited in what the dealers brought. Slim amount of vendors. The sail show was separated from the main show and although they had transportation, it seemed to take forever as the downtown traffic in Miami is terrible. Annapolis really put it to shame. However, the bright spot is that we left snow, enjoyed 80 degree sunny days and had to return to snow.
