Used winches in Montreal area?

Does anyone know of a place to buy used winches in the Montreal area? I'll be in Montreal for 3 weeks in August and would like to buy 3 winches: a no. 35-40 ST or non ST, a small ST for raising the main and a small ST for raising the jib (both to mount on the mast). The small ones could be no. 12s or thereabouts.

Thanks in advance.

Bump...

How about the Toronto area then? Perhaps a Canadian sailing website where racing types sell their equipment?

Thanks in advance.

You won't find anything in the way of used sailing hardware in Montreal. I live here and have never heard of any locations for used equipment and I have been looking. As for Toronto, I cannot see you having any more luck there. Sorry, just figured I would save you some time looking; I have looked, and looked, and looked, and there is nothing up here for used equipment.

Re: Used winches in Montreal area?

There is The Boat House in Montreal
http://boathouse.ca/boathouse_files/Page437.htm
Their prices are very high since they have the market cornered. There are not enough sailors/racers in Canada to suport an active second hand/used market.

Re: Used winches in Montreal area?

Thanks for the reply. I've bought stuff at Boathouse in Dorval before and was happy with the service and prices (about the same as Westmarine). I'll see if I can find what I need there, although being a smaller store they don't exactly have a huge stock. Still, if any Sailnetters have any used winches to sell, please PM me and perhaps we can do something. The only urgent winch is a small line winch (could be a one-speed no. 12) to mount on the mast to raise the genoa. I currently have a wire winch and want to change it. Thanks in advance.
