Gotta love the tape and garbage bags...Personally I would have used Clear plastic bags...Maybe they dont like sun...Do vampires sail?

Looks like the result of one of those "I'm gonna improve my boat for Bluewater sailing threads".
Indestructable rigging & lifelines with an enclosed cockpit, think he welded that stuff to the original chainplates? Why no crow's nest ? No sense going half way.
