Mooring out in Clearwater, FL

Does anyone know of a cove that you can drop anchor, in or about that area that would also be near a marina? Or a VERY inexpensive marina that would take a 45''vessel. My friend needs a place to put her vessel, she was just defrauded out of $20,000 and is now in a spot where she needs every penny for a lawsuit and has to leave a "kinda" high rent marina. One of my RATS, it appears, got tall and is walking on two legs.

Might have to go to St Pete Salt Creek maybe living on the hook is tough if you are not on the boat all day as they tend to drag and swing on the hook.

If you haven''t expereinced and you don''t know it...anything regarding Salt Creek is NASTY! People have been beaten up there, boats broken into. I''ve even heard some of the business'' there are a little...
But thanks anyway
