I sail on a Inland lake sh ity sometimes well if u have sailed on a lake you know what i mean! Its a state park in Butler pa. Its usually with the wife and others if they come up but people say they are coming but don't show!

I would like to move to a bay someday and sail to a island or something on a huge Catamaran! I am a curious man i like to fix things myself and not spend money, but that is hard sometimes.

Favorite foods i am boring, Pizza , burgers, Salads, Tuna, chicken, steak but i like my meat DONE!

Im into country a little lately , like songs that talk about sailing and the beach! But i am also a Heavy metal guy.. Its very hard to piss me OFF. I am fun dude, i love to laugh!

Re: So, Who Are You?

What Boat do you have or Want? : If I had the ability to buy any boat I could it would be an Island Packet 440. I presently own a 2003 Hunter 260, I love that boat for my current needs.

How long have you been sailing? : Practically all of my 38 years.

What do you do or did to get your boat? : I sell Real Estate(anyone wanna buy a bar? Hey, it's on a lake...), previously I sold archery equipment

Where you sail or live? : I live in Auburn, NY and sail on Owasco Lake and Lake Ontario mostly but I have sailed several other places as well.

You sail alone? : Sometimes, it depends on who happens to be around when I leave the dock.

Goals? : Would love to live aboard someday but that day is pretty far off at this moment.

Interests? : Sailing, obviously. Also hunting and snowmobiling.

Favorite food? : PROPERLY cooked rare steak, twice baked potato & a salad.

Music? : Country, southern rock and hairband rock from the 80's.

What Pisses you OFF? : Low snow winters, yes I know many of you will be the exact opposite but who said it has to be tropical to be paradise? Jimmy says Margaritaville is at the bottom of a Quervo bottle or anywhere you want...

Re: So, Who Are You?

I have an Ontario 32 which I'm very happy with, don't see any point in wishing for something else I'm not going to get.

Off and on, with a long off before my current 12 years, about 20.

Retired and used a big chunk of my savings to buy, refit, and be debt free.

Where ever the boat is.

I'm a singlehander.

Live my life on my own terms.

Reading, good conversation, going to new places, and a bunch of stuff I'll probably never do again.

I'm a carnivore.

Mostly classical (on the radio), otherwise, if I can hum or whistle it, and it appeals to me.

Other than people messing with my family, the most I do is get annoyed. No profit in getting mad.

Re: So, Who Are You?

Since I am an infrequent poster but an avid reader, this seemed like an appropriate post to jump into.

What Boat do you have or Want? : Just purchased our cruising boat - an Island Packet 380. Hey KIVALO, we just sold our Hunter 260 that we had prior to the Island Packet. The 260 is a great boat. What boat do I want? Well....the one I got.

How long have you been sailing? : Been sailing since the early 1990's

What do you do or did to get your boat? : Been saving our pennies, waiting for the kids to get older. Bought the boat in Florida and had it shipped to Minnesota for the next several years until we are ready to set off for parts unknown.

Where you sail or live? : We live in Minneapolis area of Minnesota, however we dock the boat on a W I D E part of the Mississippi River called Lake Pepin. The boat is actually docked on the Wisconsin side of the river, about 90 mins from home.

You sail alone? : Mostly sail with me and my husband with family and friends joining in the fun.

Goals? : See the kids off to college, retire, sell the house, point the boat south

Interests? : Some of you will groan, cheer or lament about this one, but I am one of those rare women all of you wish you had who loves sailing and can't wait to go cruising. I am involved in all aspects of boat maintainence, repair, upkeep and sailing. I can handle, sail and dock the boat myself and this winter I am looking forward to taking a marine diesel class.

Favorite food? : Anything Italian, perferrably homemade

Music? : Pop, rock, Jimmy Buffet

What Pisses you OFF? : Powerboaters who don't understand rules of the road.
