Re: Wtf?

Try Googling "how to kill internet ad execs without getting caught", see what pops up then..

Re: Wtf?

Right now I am looking at a "skin rejuvenation," a "cat litter," a "car rental," and an "insurance" ad...

I don't own (and am not looking for) a cat, and usually forget the sunscreen... I did just rent a car though.

Whatever...

I usually don't even notice this crap anymore. It took treilley's post for me to even notice they were there.

Re: Wtf?

Different ads have tags that may be seemingly unrelated to the ad itself. Age and gender can be picked up in many different ways, or extrapolated from browsing history.

Ads are what keeps content free. Yes, they're intrusive. Yes, they know far more than they need to know, in my opinion. And yes, it's pain in the a$$ to get ads you find offensive or undesirable. That's the reality of the Internet though.

Full, is the spirit, that thinks not, of falling.
True, is the soul, that hesitates not, to give.
Alive, is the one, that believes, in love.

Re: Wtf?

I don't dispute that ads are what helps to keep the site free but why can't we have ads that are just a little bit related to boating. I frequent many sites with google ads but this is the only one with totally unrelated ads.

Sexy Asian girls looking for love are related to boating....everybody here seems to have one, no internet ads required either.
