Wtf?

I clicked on a side bar of this website stating I had a friend request and it took me to a speed dating website. At what point does Sailnet completely whore out their entire advertising space to just anyone? Maybe they could limit it to just boating related businesses. I get that they have to pay for the forums that we use for free but this is the only site of many that I visit that sells advertising space to non forum related businesses. But wait, they are very strict on advertisers who sell boating products contributing to the discussions?

Also makes me wonder who they may be sharing my personal info with.

Re: Wtf?

Actually, I think it's Google making those decisions. Probably based on what you have been putting in your search box.

Clear your cookies. Rob is right that it's Google, not Sailnet, choosing the ads, based on your browsing history.

Re: Wtf?

Right now, I have the sidebar ad that says "seeking mature men only". I guess that counts me out! Oh wait a minute....I am old...guess I'm in.

Re: Wtf?

Funny, the last ad I clicked on was for a truck, and since then I see truck ads. You see a dating site? Hmmmmmmm.... check your search engine cookies. Someone has been looking for love on the internet on your computer. Tell them to behave.
