Re: BC sailors... do you know this view?

You're on the blinken water, enjoying the boat, so you are "HERE/THERE" it is sunny out, windy enough to sail..........with that, time for bed!

THAT is my final answer, other than "salish sea"

Similar outlook, John, but the mountains aren't rugged enough.

OK.. enough fun. This was taken from (one of the last Canadian) free ferries on Kootenay Lake between Balfour and Crawford Bay nearer to Crawford, looking south towards Creston... The lake more or less divides the West and East Kootenays.

We took a road trip there this year for a reunion. Years ago we did the Grey Creek regatta nearby on this lake. It's substantial and gets some good sailing conditions. While most boats are your typical small (mid 20s feet) C&C, Tanzers etc we did spy several 35+ boats moored near the ferry at Balfour.

So you can see it's not just the coastal waters of BC that is scenic..

Re: BC sailors... do you know this view?

I was never going to get the answer but the lifeline/railing setup on the boat you were on did not say Faster to me.
