OK.. enough fun. This was taken from (one of the last Canadian) free ferries on Kootenay Lake between Balfour and Crawford Bay nearer to Crawford, looking south towards Creston... The lake more or less divides the West and East Kootenays.
We took a road trip there this year for a reunion. Years ago we did the Grey Creek regatta nearby on this lake. It's substantial and gets some good sailing conditions. While most boats are your typical small (mid 20s feet) C&C, Tanzers etc we did spy several 35+ boats moored near the ferry at Balfour.
So you can see it's not just the coastal waters of BC that is scenic..
