Re: Weather radar

passwagewather.com

forecast.weather.gov (click your waterways area for marine forecast)

national buoy data center: http://www.ndbc.noaa.gov/

weatherspark.com

weatherunderground.com

watch the high-res webcams (highnoon resort and windjammer resort for Fort Lauderdale)

iwindsurf.com

windmapper.com

Is that enough

Re: Weather radar

All of the above are only good if you are in the US, Bermuda, Bahamas, or Canada? Is that your sailing territory or do you need world weather coverage?

Re: Weather radar

Go directly to http://www.weather.gov/ the National Weather Service and explore around. They've got radar and charts and forecasts and all the source information.

Re: Weather radar

Panoply of Web sites above covers the field pretty well.

For the iPod/iPhone, I like the Sea Tow app. Not sure where it gets its radar images from, but they load Very fast, are animated nicely, and are easy to read. The app is either free or very low cost.
pmoney likes this.

I use Predictwind.com. It's pretty accurate for my purpose.
