Boat Show Time!!!

Did I miss a thread already re the Annapolis US Sailboat Show that is coming up in October?

Who's going? What are you looking forward to most? Who's working a booth? How many roast beef sandwiches from the Naval Reserve do you plan to down?

I'm going Sunday only this year. I always like to visit the new Catalina 30-35 ft models and look for ideas I might like to incorporate o my 31'. Not working a booth. Gonna do at least two sandwiches.

The sale tent is one of my favorite areas to browse and shop. I'm not planning on going to any seminars this year but that might change.

Hope to see some of you Sailnetters out there!

Re: Boat Show Time!!!

We missed the show last year - we had already started our southern migration - so we've got two years of pent-up consumer demand. We'll probably go 2 days - one to shop for cool new boat gear (not that we need anything, mind you) and one to shop for ideas that we can apply to our existing boat, touring new boats in roughly our size range (32-36). And definitely going to the roof of Fleet Reserve to watch tear-down on Monday evening.

We've traditionally hosted a Sailnet gathering on the Friday evening after the show at Port Annapolis marina, and this year is no exception; who's in?

Re: Boat Show Time!!!

Already anchored up in Spa Creek. The weather is perfect here this time of year. We will probably stay through the boat show but that's always up in the air. If we are still here we would love to have everyone over for a Boh! The vibe has already started and boats are already beginning to roll into the anchorage. We are looking forward to a really good time the next few weeks here!

Re: Boat Show Time!!!

I keep telling myself every year that I'm going to buy a whisker pole, but I'll probably just end up buying Painkillers and a pulled pork sandwich.
