Boat Cushions Sliding

I had some nice cushions made, covered with sunbrella, for the seats on my
S-2 sailboat, in the cockpit. Unfortunately I did not consider how slippery the
fiberglass is. They continually slide in if there is any even slightly rough weather. I don't want to deface the fiberglass. Does anyone have any suggestions on what I can do to prevent the cushions from sliding? Any info would be helpfull. Thanks.

Re: Boat Cushions Sliding

Maybe some of that rubber mat stuff that's sometimes used between a rug and floor.

Non-skid shelf liner comes to mind...

Re: Boat Cushions Sliding

We use the anti-slip material on our cockpit cushions gluedto the underside. We also use it under the computer at the nav station for dishes in the cupboards and on the table. Great stuff.

Re: Boat Cushions Sliding

The matting suggested above works. At our seamstress' suggestion, we had clips sewn into our new cockpit seats that can attach to small fixed loops fixed to the fiberglass. Not sure if you can still do this as ours were sewn into reinforced sections of the fabric.
