Re: Jeffs Last Sail- MUST READ

I wish him well.

Is he going to be anywhere near and among the bahaha folks? That might help if things go really haywire. I am sure more than one would help if things got crazy out there. assuming non hurricane type wind issue stuff.

Then BP not knowing anyting abot an I30...........major rolleyeyes! laugh snicker!

Re: Jeffs Last Sail- MUST READ

I'm not sure solo ocean sailing is relaxing but I wish him all the luck and peacefulness with the time he has left. It makes you think, do you want your family to remember you sitting in a hospital bed and suffering or sailing off on a thrilling adventure, and I believe it will be.

Re: Jeffs Last Sail- MUST READ

Got a Call from Jeff a few days ago as he was leaving Morro Bay.. seems he had a knock down outside the gate at San Francisco, broke a few things but it seems he's got it under control..

He called a few minutes ago.. he's at anchor at Cat Harbor at Catalina and will be in San Diego between the first and third of November..
He asked me to post this as he's looking for crew in San Diego going to Mexico..
He's a great guy, really smart, and funny as hell.. If your looking for an experance, give Jeff a shout or e-mail him...

Re: Jeffs Last Sail- MUST READ

I would have loved to meet the guy as he was coming past Newport Beach. Unfortunately I am working so I cant take off and crew...if I could have gotten time off I would have done it in a heartbeat. My prayers are with him.

Sailing off down south to where the alternative cancer cures that actually work aren't illegal is what I would do!

Re: Jeffs Last Sail- MUST READ

With great inspiration to all of us, my heart goes out to Jeff and his famliy. It is hard to look into one soul and realize that the flame is just waning now, but to take on such an adventure takes a hero some one to truly look up to! Next time I hoist my sails I will be thinking of Jeff and his loved ones. Ps I hope he makes it...

Re: Jeffs Last Sail- MUST READ

I read the article; and while I can relate, I don't have the affliction. Life goes sideways in a heartbeat. I'm going while I still can..for the same reasons.. to sit on the coaming and watch the world go by and enjoy the rest of my time doing what I wanna!
You go, Jeff! God Speed and fair winds!

As of Jan 9/11:30AM, Jeff is in Gulfito Bay, Costa Rica and has been doing good so far single handed. He's going to meet up with his wife on the 15th and then they will continue together after he finds a new Tiller auto pilot, as his old one crapped out in a storm (raymarine st2000).
I'm in for helping.....
