Cheap boat, anyone?

This appears to be the ultimate fixer upper. Not interested myself, but just thought i would put it out there in case anyone felt like spending a lot of money and time

This boat needs lots of TLC.
If it ran, I would be asking $30,000.
If it was restored, I would be asking $200,000.
I am asking $500.
Please do not bother me with ridiculous and stupid questions about this boat.
If you know what you are looking at, the boat is a steel and valuable to anyone looking to restore it.
The boat was sold and paid for once but the owner had a death in the family and could not take the vessel after all.
I am relisting it.

Seems to be and honest add with no claims of greatness

Probably so cheap because it would be cheaper to build the same boat from scratch than to restore this one by time you find and replace all the rotted wood, corroded fasteners and on and on and on....

I agree once all of the dry rott is off you would hava a heck of a mess. Also thats a lot of boat for 500.00 Dollars you would still have morage and the rest. It makes you wonder what she looks like down below. We were at a boat yard last year when they hauled a 52 foot steel power yacht that was not hauled for 20 years, they used a snow shovel to remove the bottom growth. Then we heard grinding for a couple of hours till we heard the cryies that some one inside the hull could see day light!!! we had quite a laugh about that...

She is quite beautiful from a distance, though. Looks Alden-like. the lead alone would be worth well more than the price if you (hope not though) gave up and scrapped her.

lead, winches and any good hardwood would be worth a pretty penny, if you have a place to dispose of the rest of the boat cheaply. (firewood haha?)

It doesn't looks like the 2 front port holes are just holes... I can only imagine what you would find inside. I do love the Alden like lines totally agree it is a pretty boat.

The ad now says 'Sold'. Some deals just cannot be resisted. I have been talking to a guy who is selling a Melges M20 for $400. It is worth at least $1000. I just don't have anywhere to store it. Killing me.
