do you use your boat as a car?

i was wondering how many people do what i do and use my boat to get from one place to another locally though. like today im sailing from were my boat is and sailing down to the other side of town just to pull out my boat boat and do some work on it then sailing back to the mooring then going home. all instead of just going to the boat on the other side of town to pull it out.

My car is faster, quieter and easier to park at the supermarket

Yes, we travelled by boat to attand a wedding 90 miles away and every year we travel by boat to attand a party. We often take the boat for dinner or Sunday brunch.

I think power boaters do this more than sailors do.

Re: do you use your boat as a car?

Huck the question makes sense but what you say about your boat doesn't. You're saying you can pull your boat out of the water either near the mooring or in a second location across town? Or are you talking about just one location?

And either way, if you need to take the boat someplace to haul it...what's that got to do with cars? You take it where you need to take it. I don't get it, what am I missing here?

I wish they had shops with a moring instead of a car park as all I have is the boat to get around.
