Sailing in Georgia

In the Atlanta, Georgia area. Looking to buy a starter-trailerable sailboat, something similar to a Catalina 22 or 25. Before taking the plunge, would like to spend a day "On the Lake" with someone more knowledgeable than myself, preferably with a trailerable boat so I can go through then entire setup, launch, sail, tear down and recover process. Have done some sailing over the years on Hobie's and Laser's and would like to make the jump to something bigger.

Contact me through the private message facility on this forum and we can work out details.

Just be aware, you might not have the PM priviage unless you know the secret handshake of the Mighty

Well now, that is a sticky wicket now isn't it. I now see that you must be a member for 7 days before IM privileges...is that all...or is there more?

Re: Sailing in Georgia

I got into sailing on Lake Lanier. It's a great lake for sailing and there is ag great sailing club called Passport Sailing Club. I highly recommend checking them out. 4 or 5 years ago when I was there they had a bunch of Catalina 22's and 250's that you could use whenever and it was an awesome deal. I pay twice as much now for my slip on Tampa Bay and have to fix stuff when it breaks.
